Hi Everyone!
I completely forgot to write a post last week about Bible Study and Sports Night so I’ll be including a brief recap of all the events that happened in the past two weeks. In the last two Bible Studies, Pastor Will has given messages on John 3:1-21, the passage which features Nicodemus and his conversation with Jesus. First, Pastor Will led us through an examination of what it means to “come into the light” instead of hiding the darkness because of shame. More recently, we learned about being “born again” and that if we’re born again, we need to be born into a life where Jesus is the center of our lives.
Two weeks ago acts2fellowship hosted a2f-wide Sports Night at Maxwell Field where the sophomores completely dominated (WHOO! GO SOPHOMORES!). It was a lot of fun to get back with our brothers and sisters from A2F Gold and share in fellowship together through sports. I was amazed to see one of the freshman teams place in the top 3 (they beat the seniors! HAHA) and I’m excited to see the friendly competition that will come out in the coming years as the freshman class gets “used to” and gains more experience in our Gracepoint-style sports.
Last Friday, after Bible Study, each small group split up to have their own activities. The sophomore brothers went to Towle in Unit 2 and watched Amazing Grace, an amazing movie about William Wilberforce and his fight to abolish the slave trade in England. The sophomore sisters went to Creations, a yummy dessert place in San Francisco. The seniors went to Pastor Will and Esther’s house for some good fellowship. I’m actually not sure what the freshman or juniors did so I won’t say anything lest I guess wrong :]
Overall it’s been a really great and fun two weeks. It seems like most people are done with their first round of midterms and are awaiting their second. As for me, I’m smack dab in the middle of my round of midterms, but it’s amazing how refreshing Bible Study and fellowship with my small group can be during those times of increased stress.
If you want to decrease stress with me, join us this Friday for Bible Study at 7:45 in 159 Mulford! We’ll be going bowling afterward!
Hey man, we were missing people. And we were split up. And I’m gonna keep making excuses until the next Sports Night :P.

I think if the staff were all on one team, we would te in all games, even if the Seniors were one team. So, keep bringing on all those excuses…..
