This Past Sunday, our k-group (that’s short for koinonia, Greek for fellowship) celebrated the Baptisms of three of our members: Jessica Ho, Joy You, and Brian Ikkanda. For those who are new or foreign to the concept, Baptism is a way for us to remember one’s testimony of God working in their lives, as well as a significant spiritual marker of a new life of following Jesus Christ. In all, 19 people of Gracepoint Fellowship Church were Baptized in the portable, jacuzzi-like pool we call our baptismal. The usual celebrations of food, photos, and gift-giving ensued. For Brian’s gift, some of the brothers got him a really original gift: a Bansai Tree. This probably tops previous standout gifts which include: Durian, Pineapple, and stuffed animals.
